Here are some of the testimonials from a few of the current students in the courses. Although Swahili class teaching is based on a curriculum, time is taken to adress and fit in additional information every week as needed by my students on a one to one basis.

I am a student in Jane Muturi's Swahili class and I can not say enough good things about her teaching style and the warmth of her class. Jane offers a safe and supportive learning environment for all her students. Going into the class, I wondered if I would feel uncomfortable or even silly trying to say so many unfamiliar words. But Jane pays attention to the ways her students learn and the place at which we are learning the language. She uses this information to regularly adjust her lessons to make them ever more effective.
I am happy that I started taking the Swahili classes. I have made new friends, had a lot of fun and now I feel more prepared for future trips to East Africa.
